Top tier: the best

Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees

 

Second tier and coming closer: Outstanding qbs

Phillip Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger

 

Third tier: very good qbs

Donovan McNabb, Kurt Warner, Matt Ryan (when healthy), Aaron Rodgers, Carson Palmer and Brett Favre

 

Fourth tier: good qbs, but sometimes erratic 

 Eli Manning, Tony Romo, Vince Young, Matt Schaub, Kyle Orton

 

Fifth tier: Average

Matt Sanchez

 

Beyond repair: in other words, terrible

JaMarcus Russell and Jay Cutler

I’m sure it was difficult for you to list Jay Cutler as beyond repair.

I hate to say it, but at this point he is terrible. Maybe he can turn it around. I feel bad for Lovie Smith. I think he’s a class guy and I would hate to see him lose his job, but it doesn’t look good.
