Cincy coach

Jeff Quinn, former offensive coordinator for Cincinnati, will be their head coach in Sugar Bowl against Fl. He will then become head coach at Buffalo with former Central Michigan coach Butch Jones taking over Cincy after the new year.

Could be interesting to see how it goes. Going with Cincy in an upset. Like the fact they are playing with a chip on their shoulder after Brian Kelly left them, and that Florida will be without Charlie Strong, their defensive coordinator, who takes over at Louisville. Could be wrong on this one, but taking a chance on it.

  4. Tebow’s chances of being a star in the NFL

Almost sounds like chinese checkers with all the movement of coaches. Can the team focus on the W or will they be there for Les Bon temps Roulez? The Tide took up that party position in the last Sugar Bowl. Hard to overcome when not for all the marbles. Hard to wager against Superman from the Swamp. Get it early and make a double play.

Florida by 11 is a big line, but it is hard to bet against Tebow in his last game. KIrk Herbstreit kind of likes Cincy, so I’m going to agree with him.

Today’s paper has it at 11.5. Pretty hefty number for a group of overachievers. Perhaps a gametime decision. H.W. and I are planning a Monday after Christmas round at Ross Bridge. Can you join us?

That sounds great. Count me in. I thought line was 11 in paper, but I guessed I missed it. Anyway, I think it could be a good game. Just let me know the plans for Monday, Spike; I’m in
