UAB had a huge 64-47 victory over 25th ranked Cincinnati last night. Elijah Millsap scored 22 points and pulled down 15 boards, his fifth double-double of the season. Millsap’s older brother, Paul, plays for the Utah Jazz in the NBA, and Millsap looks like he could get there, too. He’s a junior.

Next game against South Alabama Saturday Night in Mobile at 5:30 on CSS. Tough game in Mobile. USA (8-3) has already beaten Arkansas this season.
No.21 Butler (AP) comes to Bartow Arena for a 7 p.m. game next Tuesday. No TV. Butler (7-3) has a win over Ohio State (74-66) and tough losses to Clemson (70-69) and Georgetown (72-65). All three are ranked and very good teams. Butler is typical Butler; they hustle and they can really shoot when they’re on. Homewood’s Ronald Nored is Butler’s starting point guard.
The Blazers aren’t deep, but they play so hard. Like this team a lot. If they can stay healthy, could make tourney. Two tough games coming up though.

go blazers win for uab
Huge win Joltin!
Do the Blazers have the right depth on the team to go deep into the tournament? Or is it too early to know?
I would think a decent chance at the tourney if they stay healthy. Not a lot of players, but they play good ball. Probably have a seven-man rotation. A little early to tell, but they don’t have a lot of depth. But if they stay healthy, they could make the tourney and then you never know.
